Is your new condo feeling a little too new? Or do you have the perfect nook in your apartment or brownstone waiting to be filled? Moon River Chattel is just what you need. Owners Paul Sperduto and Christine Foley have spent over thirteen years collecting architectural salvage and antique home furnishings. Across the street you can peer into the operations where they collect the goods and refurbish them to sell.
But inside the store is where you feel the real magic. Walking in, you’re instantly transported back to the turn of the century with jars of Necco candy, botanical prints, anatomical posters, and Edison lamps. The salvaged and antique pieces are perfect stand-out pieces to compliment any decor.

The products are all nicely curated to bring the old together with new home accessories, including hemp linen, kitchenware, and decorative hardware. My personal favorites include the hanging lamps by Robert Ogden, made from salvaged mirrors. But then there’s the antique toy trucks, the abalone tea spoons and trays, and the etched botanical glassware. With so much to choose from, the only difficulty you’ll face is finding room in your home to display it all.
